I am dedicated to ‘making a difference’.  I have designed this saddle as a symbol that ‘Pink Happens’, even to me.  This saddle defines hope and reminds me daily to ‘just get back up in the saddle and keep on riden’.

I am a survivor!   Seven years ago, I was diagnosed with invasive ductile carcinoma and faced a double mastectomy, reconstruction and six months of chemo treatments.   Surviving breast cancer is a mile stone that will be remembered this lifetime.  But, I have been blessed with yet an even greater blessing, my daughter of 16 years, Stevie Ann.  Stevie Ann fed me a healing diet of courage, strength, and determination, all of which were given unconditionally.  A single mom and her daughter fought the odds and won!  We are a team, a team of healing each other through our love of horses and want to help make a difference though the special healing power of an equine relationship.

Pink Happens is a non-profit organization with the purpose to assist those women with the unexpected financial expenses brought forth due to breast cancer. Our fundraising and contributions for this purpose are made possible through our dedicated volunteers, as well as donations from businesses, auctions and numerous sponsors.

Many organizations have made a difference in research to find the cure. But, few are widely recognized to assist those survivors stressed with these financial struggles. Because research has come so far, more and more women are living through this chapter in their lives, only to find themselves set back in debt to the doctors who were greatly responsible for the very reason they are still here. While it is appreciated and important, to fight for a cure with more and more research needed, the fact remains that ‘Pink Happens’.  Pink Happens and Healing With Horses' mission is to build upon the strength and courage to make this treatment process a mental accomplishment. While the ultimate goal, relative to this cause, is to fight or find the cure for cancer.  Pink Happens strives to gain recognition, volunteers, financial support and knowledge to help those women who have ridden or are currently riding this trail.  Please visit www.leatherdesigns.net to support
